Philadelphia, PA, USA -- 22 January 2004 -- k.soft announces the release of version 1.6 of CDStartDummy!, a utility to easily create auto-playable CD-ROMs for Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP.

CDStartDummy! creates CD presentations which appear automatically when the disc gets inserted into a computer's CD-ROM drive. CDStartDummy! allows you to use any type of file to autoplay on your CD including web pages, movies, and more. You can also add a splash screen graphic, music, icons, and other effects.

CDStartDummy! comes packaged with a built-in viewer so if you choose to use a web page or movie as your CD interface, an outside viewer or web browser is not required. This allows you to fully customize the exact look of your CD interface down to the icon in the title bar.

CDStartDummy! allows you to preview the presentation before copying any files to an actual CD by saving all necessary files to a folder on your desktop.

CDStartDummy! includes more advanced features with its internal action commands. By using a web page presentation and the built-in viewer option, you can use several internal actions within your web page to perform tasks such as launching files, copying files, displaying message boxes, and exiting the presentation.

Registered users of CDStartDummy! may freely distribute their auto-playable CD and receive upgrades to the latest version at no charge by visiting the company's web site to download and install the new version.

A fully functional demo is available to the public at http://www.dummysoftware.com/cdstart.html. Program registration is US$39.95 and may be completed from the company's web site.
